ESX: HA Error – cmd addnode failed for primary node: Unable to import /var/log/vmware/aam/aam_config_util.def

 

Another case on my customer. After upgrading from 3.0 to 3.5 Update 2, I am getting the following HA Error “cmd addnode failed for primary node: Unable to import /var/log/vmware/aam/aam_config_util.def”.

Solution:

1.       Put the host in maintenance mode.

2.       Remove host from Virtual Center.

3.       Reboot each host.

4.       Re-add into the Cluster or create a fresh Cluster.
